Embassy Review :
I came to the embassy alone for my K1 visa interview. My overall experience was great. I was scheduled at 6:30am for my interview.

5:30am - I arrived at the embassy. I asked one of the security guards where I should fall in line. He directed me to the wrong one (Tourist Visa Applicants) but good thing, I was observant and asked another guard who directed me to the right one.

6:30am- Got inside the embassy

8:30am- Fingerprint scan with an American Consul

9:45am- Initial Interview with a Filipina Consul. It was a relaxed interview because the consul spoke with me in Filipino. (Duration of the Interview: 10 mins)

She asked for the ff documents:
-Passport
-NSO Birth Cert
-NSO Cenomar
-NBI Clearance
-Affidavit of Support
-Latest ITR/W2

Questions:
-My name and my fiance's name
-Date of Birth
-If I have applied for any type of US Visa before
-If I have travelled abroad before (for work or vacation)
-How and when did I meet my fiance
-When was my fiance's last visit
-Verified where I currently work
-Where my fiance is currently working
-What my fiance's job is
-Asked if he lives with his parents; asked what type of house he's living in

After asking me questions, she asked if I brought some pictures. She asked me to prep them for the american consul and wait for my number to flash again.

10:15am- Final Interview with an American Consul (Duration: 5 mins)

I was greeted by a very nice female american consul. At first I was nervous but she was smiling at me the whole time which made me calm during my interview. (I was also smiling at her the entire time) First, She asked me to take an oath and gave me a pamphlet about my rights as an immigrant (violence against women)

Questions:
-My name and my fiance's name
-How we met
-When he did visit
-What is his current job
-Asked about our age
-She pulled some photos from our the I-129 packet. And asked some questions. (I actually prepared my own photo album for this interview but she didn't ask for it. I even prepared facebook screenshots, imessage and facetime logs but she also didn't ask for it. hehe
-Who are the people in this photo? (it was a photo with my fiance at our house eating dinner with my parents. She said, "ooh so he met your parents already. did he like filipino food? I said, " yes he loved it."
-How is your fiance's relationship with his parents?
-Do you already have wedding plans? -Answered her by providing the details of our wedding. (Venue, Number of guests etc)

She signed some papers and told me, "Okay, so your visa is approved!" I was so happy and thanked her. She smiled at me and felt that she's also happy for me.

10:30am- My number flashed in the releasing area; guy told me that my passport and documents will be delivered to my address

I would like to thank everyone at VisaJourney for helping me and fiance throughout this process. Thank you, Lord for this wonderful blessing. :-)

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
