Embassy Review : Some tips:
I woke up at 3:30 in the morning, took a shower and while on the shower my breakfast was delivered too. I ate and then put my clothes on and put a light make up on...Went down and I didn't know that the car service was there waiting for me..It's already 4:55 when I went down..So the driver drove me to the embassy and got there at exactly 5:00 in the morning..The line wasn't that long for K1 but there were lots of applicants tho for different visa type. So while I was on the line and since I had a friend (sissy on fb) that I was talking the night before my interview and we had the same date too I waited her there because we had the agreement that we will wait each other outside. Then, 3 minutes later she( Dajen Capuyan) arrived there at the embassy.. So we were talking and said "hi, hello" and etc. While talking the guard called us ( K1 applicant) to move forward.. While we were on the line the lady(crew there at the embassy) told us to prepare all the DS forms:
1) 2 copies of 156
2) 2 copies of 157 and
3) 1 copy of 156k and also the
4) original passport and lastly
5) appointment letter
and take note: before giving it to the lady in front make sure to attach your passport and appointment letter with the DS forms..
The lady got the said docs above and gave my passport back with a zip lock on it.
I went inside and fell in the line again for the queue number. I sat on the waiting area and be sure to keep your eyes on the screen. I got the 6124 queue number. So I look at the screen and it took me 1 1/2 hour before my number flashed.. So I went inside for finger scanning at window # 42. The lady on that window was cool and nice...TN: don't forget to give your full name and birth date when you get wherever your window's it might be. So,done my finger scanning and the lady told me to wait again for my number to be called or flashed on the screen... So, I sat again at the waiting area and this time will be the Filipino Consul. 15 minutes later, my number flashed again at window # 51..
Me: Hi mam (with smile on my face)
FC: Hello good morning, how are you? ( but in tagalog)
FC: Pangalan ng Petitioner, birth date
Me: ***** and *****
FC: handa mo na ito:
1) Affidavit of support
2) Updated NBI ( in green color for travel abroad)
3) NSO Birth Certificate ( in yellow color)
4) NSO Cenomar (for passport/travel)
5) ITR (Income Tax Return 1040 latest)
6) W-2 ( latest)
7) pay stubs and all the required financial docs from your Fiance
Me: Ok mam, hereit is...I gave all she asked me and she looked at it..
FC: single siya diba?
Me: ( thinking and laughing at myself before answering her question because she already answered it lol) OpO mam...
FC: Nagkita kayo sa " Pinoy Chat Room" last January 17, 2012 tama?
Me: ( thinking and smiling again ) Tama po...
FC: Ok, you are very well organized and lahat nang documents ay nandito na kaya a big Good luck sayo( with a big smile too) hintayin mo na lng ulit number mo na mag flash ulit.
TN: Siya( Filipino Consul) na ang sumagot sa lahat ng katanungan nya na dapat ay ako ang sumagot....hahhahahaha...Happy me..But I did say " Thank you Mam" ( with a smile on my face too).
Waiting again at the waiting area..this time will be the American Consul..It took me 4 hours before my number flashed again. But before that they informed us that they will take thier lunch break first before continuing the interview. So, we went outside to get some foods for lunch and came back at 12: 45PM. So we went inside again and waited there for another 5 minutes. The 5 minutes passed and the screen was open again as well as the window's. I looked at the screen and my number flashed at window 66. Went to window 66 and it was the American Consul (Guy). Before going to that window and before my number flashed I was praying that it will not be my window, because he had a loud voice and I felt like he's strict. Anyway, I went there and I was wrong he was so cool, nice and he kept on smiling...OMG!..
Me: Good morning Sir, how are you?
AC : Oh! good morning, I'm good..How about you?
Me: I'm great..thank you for asking Sir..
AC: Who is your petitioner? birth date? what did he do for living? where did he work? Is he single? How long you've known each other? where and when did you meet?
Me: (smiling) ********( answering)
AC: Wow!...that's good...how did he proposed?
Me: He bend his knees in front of the crowd at the airport and said:" Will you marry me honey"? (while crying) and without any hesitation I answered him with a Big Big " YES" and I was crying too....
AC: Wow! that was so sweet and unforgetable day for you I guess...
Me: Yes, you are right Sir!...
AC: do you guys ahve pictures together?
Me: Yes Sir we do have pictures...
AC: Ca I see it?
Me: Yes sure, you can...
AC: Wow! you guys look good and happy together.. You have such a beautiful smile tho... You do speak good in english as well...
Me: (flattered and overwhelmed) Yes, we are happy because we're crazy in love to each other..Thank you for your nice compliment Sir!..( with a smile)..
AC: Ok, everything is well...VISA APPROVED! (3x) Congratulations!....( with a smile on his face)
Me: (crying) Thank you so much Sir!..
I felt like just talking to the love of my life in front of the camera..lol! Anyway, it was a very nice conversation tho with the American Consul...And I went to the releasing area for 2GO.. Relieved and I had a tears of happiness and joy too!...Since, all my co-K1 applicant was waiting for me we both went home and while on the outside we we're shouting and laughing!....huhuhuhuhuhuhu....Happy Me
That's all ladies and friends..Hopefully this will help you guys who will be having their upcoming interview soon...Just be yourself, stay calm and be honest with your answers...Good luck and God bless us all!...

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
