Comments : I called the NVC and I was told on Aug. 8th that my interview date was on the 23rd. of Aug. 2013 at 4pm. I called back a couple of days later to find out when the packets were mailed. I was told by the NVC that they were sent Aug 6th. 8 days later no packets. We started the process without the packets ahead of time in case there where problems. "Yes now lots of issues. My fiance' was at her doctor visit for the visa, that we scheduled without the packets. The doctor said the Consulate does not do interviews on Friday's which was Aug 23. The doctor's office called and was told that there was an error and it should be on the 21 of Aug. Aarrrg. Sent an e-mail out to the visa center for Santiago on Aug 14th asking why we have not received the packets yet. No response? Called the NVC on Aug 15th and found out that the packets were never sent out like I was told. The NVC told me the packets 3 and 4 were sent out on Aug 14th, when I sent the e-mail, which they still have not responded to. So now we have an interview in 3 business day with no packets and no letter of invitation for the interview... My advise to you is to follow up on things that you think have already been taken care of...But I am happy we have the interview and that we are able to get things together in time...

I checked my status weekly with no updates. no text no e-mail no phone call..I called Mar. 14 2014 and told them we had not heard anything.. They sent a letter for a Biometrics invite..April 23 2014. We get a text and e-mail April 1, 2014 stating out case was denied. Get a letter on April 23rd saying we never responded to a RFE request so they denied the case.We never received a letter no updates no text no e-mail for the RFE...But yet they send a text and e-mail to tell us it has been denied. Wrote an appeal and sent over night with the RFE request on the 24th...April 29th still waiting. What a Joke..Contacted my congressman via e-mail April 29, 2014 for assistance...

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
