Event Description

Embassy Review : Hello Everyone,

My fiancee went in for her interview yesterday and unfortunately, she failed. The officer pretty much insinuated that he thought we were related because we looked alike. He made his decision on his own biased opinion rather than on the evidence that was provided in the K1 Visa packet. (photos, call logs, flight itineraries, etc..) I spoke to a lawyer and she informed me that countries such as Cambodia, Vietnam, China and a couple others were "high risk" countries. It is much easier to pass the interview through marriage rather than a k1 fiancee visa. It seems to me that all the fakes and frauds have made it passed the interviewers and have caused the legitimate cases to suffer. With that being told, I've contacted my congressman to hopefully appeal this. For your information we've known each other for 4 years, have thousands of dollars worth of phone cards. Also it is highly recommended that your significant other attend the interview. I was in Cambodia on a trip and left one month prior to the interview. The officer asked why I wasn't there and couldn't wait another month. -Well Mr.Officer, my stomach isn't going to feed itself, and are you going to pay my bills? Anyways, end of rant.

I'm rating my sourpuss of an officer a 1 out of 5
Rating : Very Poor
