Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 28, 2013
Embassy Review : First I would like us to encourage ourselves with trusting and putting the faith unto the lord...

My interview was scheduled for 10am...arrived one hour before time...there was less cue of immigrants...I think we were about 15 or so...we were finally called in @ 9.30am...

Went through the normal scrutiny of documents...entered and was giving ma number...there were 4 CO interviewing immigrants....

There was this white man who kept denying everybody including visa lottery people...I was scared, really scared...I prayed to God he shouldn't be the one to interview me...buh that spirit kept telling me I shouldn't even worry about any CO's that I'm def getting approved...I kept singing praises to the lord just to gain more confidence....God is good....

Finally I was called, the CO I was scared about....he looked me in the eye ask to say after him...I did all that....he tried confusing me by saying the wrong name of my wife....I corrected him....again he was looking at the documents and asked where my wife works...I told him then assumed she's a nurse...I corrected him again....that was it...he just concluded I'm approved....so thrilled....

Words of advice......put everything unto the lord...and frontload very well...all the evidence I brought was not even asked for...

God is good....
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
