Consulate Review: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 9, 2013
Embassy Review : I accompanied my fiancee to the US consulate. To enter I had to have my passport which luckily I did.

You can print the appointment letter online. No need to be present at the address. Just contact the consulate on their online form and ask them. You will need two copies, one for the medical exam and one to enter the consulate.

I joined the interview window and they asked both of us simple questions. The interview was very quick, about 5-10mins compared to those before us. They just flipped quickly through the photos. We have been together for 2 years, I have been in Vietnam most of that time and we're both single-never married and no children.

Only documents needed were those listed on the appointment package from the Vietnam consulate. No need to bring a copy of the i129f, they already have that.
Rating : Very Good

Hello and congratulations on successfully arriving to the end of this process. I am still waiting. Would you be kindly share when did you receive interview letter, if the letter asked you to go alone or with spouse? what questions were asked from you during i-751 interview? Did they tell you after interview if you are approved or not? THANK YOU very much

Hi we received the interview letter about 1 month before the interview date. The interview letter only explained the requirements for the N400 interview did not state anything about the I751. As the spouse of the petitioner I was asked just a few questions about her parents name, her hometown, etc. Basically info on the I751 application. After the interview, they notified that she passed the N400 interview but had to verify some info. We just received the oath ceremony scheduled at the end of this week, Jan 18. That was the only quick part of the whole process!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
