Member Reviews:

Consulate Review: Mumbai, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 26, 2013
Embassy Review : Got approved. Here are the questions I was asked by the Indian interviewer (1st interview):
Who has petitioned for you?
Is this your first marriage?
Is this your husband’s first marriage?
Where is your husband right now?
When did he come to India?
Do you have any kid from your first marriage?
Any kid from your husband’s first marriage?
Where does the kid live?
Have you registered with for the visa delivery?
Finger printing was done at the first window & all originals sent to NVC were returned.

I waited for a couple of hours for the final interview with an American lady. The questions asked were as follows:
Who is calling you?
How did you both meet? When was it (asked for the date)
When did your husband get divorced?
When did you get divorced?
Asked for the reason why the marriage date is near to divorce date?
Do you have any kid?
Any kids from husband’s first marriage?
How old is the kid?
Have you spoken to your husband’s kid?
How do you speak to him?
Asked to show some wedding pictures?
I was asked to explain how big was the wedding?
Did my parents attend the wedding?
Did his family attend the wedding?
I was asked if I have been given the sheet of paper explaining the number to call if I am in trouble.
Finally, heard the golden words, your visa is approved. Please pay $165 before you leave.

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
