US Entry : 2013-06-18
Marriage : 2013-06-23
Comments : it took us a bit longer than usual to get visa in hand because we had to send other documents to the embassy after the interview. To be specific, tax transcripts and a proper certificate of non-marriage for him. He brought the certificate to the interview but it was not the official form the embassy required. His visa was "issued" on June 2nd 2013.

Consulate Review: Algiers, Algeria
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 17, 2013
Embassy Review : Everyone at the Embassy was very nice. Getting in was like very much like going through the airport security. Interview was scheduled for 1:30PM we were one of 4 people waiting and everyone was approved. Only 1 other interview besides ours was for K1, but he also was approved,"Congratulations and have a good life in America." The consular interviewed me first, then Hamza, then both of us together. The questions were random and we both gave all the same answers, we were completely honest about everything.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
