Consulate Review: Bangkok, Thailand
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 6, 2013
Embassy Review : The interview appointment was schedule for 7AM but only got called to be interviewed at 10.30AM. It did not matter whether you came first or last in the waiting line; in the end you were called by some random order (no idea). Before the interview, all the documents were given but no house registration as i was not informed to bring it. Called again to another window to verfify date of departure and arrival of other countries from passport stamps.

The interview was in English and I was not asked if I would prefer Thai or English. Anyway, the interview questions were typical such as:
- When did we meet?
- How did we meet? (asked for details)
- My previous trips to the US with different visas, what were the purposes of those?
- Why do I wanna marry him??? (This can be a lil tricky)
- What is his job/ what is my job? why do I wanna leave my work here?
- When did he become US citizen? (Quite unexpected)

Because of the missing police certificate that was misplaced by the embassy (due to the lack of section written in the address), I got 221(g). However, they were able to locate it after a week and the visa can then be issued

POE Review: Seattle
Event Description
Entry Date : 2013-09-08
Embassy Review : Stood in line as visitors for a long while 30mins st least and got called aside for immigration visa packet, there were around 7-8 cases, waited for 20 more mins till the oficer started calling inidividual case to the desk for fingerprinting, brief questions, etc. 15 more mins till we are done, not many questions were asked, it took about 2 hours from the time we got out of the plane till we are off to claim baggages
Harassment Level : Low

Event Description
Review Date : January 8, 2014
Embassy Review : Nice officer, typical questions about our relationship, approved on the spot.

Our interview started an hour late as they were backed up with many people waited in the hall. Overall, good experience for the interview.

The only disappointment was $7 public parking, no choice....

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
