Embassy Review : Our interview for I-130 DCF was set for 7:30am, and we arrived at 6:15. There werea around 30 people already in line. The security guard separated the K-1/K-3/CR-1 people from the rest of the line. My wife was 4th in line out of 5 people waiting for K-1/CR-1, thankfully the rest of the people were waiting for tourist and other visas. While she was on line, security asked to see her interview email, and her passport. They allowed her in at 6:45, had her check her phone at security, and then she went up to a desk and the clerk arranged all of her papers. The clerk took all her papers and gave my wife a small ticket to pay the $325 fee and asked her to come back after payment was made. After 15 minutes, she was called inside and saw the other people in line ahead of her in the same room. After the other 2 people were called to window #2, my wife was called in to window #2. There she was interviewed by a female Thai officer. My wife was asked:

-Did you ever go to the USA before?
-How long has your husband been in Bangkok?
-Do you have any kids?

She told my wife to go sit down again and wait to be called. About 30 minutes later, an American officer with black hair called my wife to window #5 and she asked the following questions:

-Did you read the yellow paper about spousal abuse and do you have any questions?
-Fingerprints were scanned
-How do you know your husband?
-When did you start to talk to him?
-Where is your husband now?
-When did he move to Thailand the first time? (My wife did not understand the question because I came as a tourist before getting an O-A visa, so the Thai officer was called in to translate.)
-Why does he want to move back to the USA?
-Where does he live in the USA? What state?
-How long has he been staying in Thailand?
-How long does he come and stay every time?
-When do you want to go to the USA?

The American officer then told her we are finished with the interview. I will keep your passport and then send it back to you in the mail within 2-3 weeks. She gave my wife the original docs back (marriage cert, birth cert, ID card, tabien ban, old passport.

Overall, Im happy with the whole process, she was done in less then 1 hour after her appointment time, and things went smoothly. The only negatives were the lack of positive response as to approval, and the female Thai officer could have been a little bit nicer, but it could be a Thai cultural thing.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
