Embassy Review : Locating this building is a huge task but we eventually found it after 4-5mins of driving around. Getting there, we were told not to bring any camera inside and my wife always go around with her camera, her reasons: I don’t know.funny.so I ended up taking the camera back into the car. My wife had submitted our interview letter to the guy at the counter before I came back. Our interview time was supposed to be 10am but we ended up waiting for almost 10-15mins before this young officer called my name. before then they have been coming out seeing and talking to other applicants and I noticed that most of this time they also took time to look around, check out the body language of people, don’t know how true this is but my instinct tells me they come out to check people out. We were ushered in into his office. A little bit pleasant initially but noticed his demeanor change immediately after swearing us under oath. He started with my wife application, the petitioner (I-130).the questions asked were, her name, her date of birth, her current address, where she work, what she does, my date of birth, how we met, has she ever been married before (no),has she ever file for someone before (no) .how many people attend our wedding reception. All through, my wife was doing fine answering those questions, and then he asks for the supporting evidence of our marriage. We brought our wedding pictures, other pictures with/without family and friends; he went through them while my wife was analyzing them. Bank statement, utility bills like a whole year bills. Our joint lease-we have been living together going to 3 years because we moved in together a month before our wedding. So there was renewal and transfer lease statements, Medical records. Then he dropped the question on our joint account. When was the account opened? My wife said like a year ago but my wife operated the account before converting it into joint account. So the officer asked again when it was opened. So I interrupted to set the record straight. Big mistake, the guy shut me down by waiving his hand without looking at me. I was embarrassed. But I later ask to allow me interject and he oblige me. So I correct that. then he turned to me and said let talk about your application, beneficiary (I-485) the question asked were: my name, date of birth, how many times have I been married.2 times, so my current wife is the is the 3th and the last. then he started asking for the information I submitted while trying to get visa from my country 4 years ago, how many time did I apply for visa, how many time was I refused, reason I was refused, did my first wife had a child for me, I said no but he ask again I said no because she was pregnant but the child did not belong to me and that was what caused issue between us. He asks if the child is still alive I said unfortunately the child passed after a week. He asked if he could make copies of our medical records of which we didn’t object to, we didn’t mind as far as it is going to aid our chance of approval. He said well, you guys have been married more than 2 years so I should be getting 10 years green card. We are done for now. He will review our file and it might take like 30 days to reply us but if it is approve less than 2 weeks. He took my I-94 gave back my EAD card. He asks for question but we had nothing to ask. My wife asks if he can allow us to take time to pack our stuff. The funniest part was that it seems things were alright but the suspense it makes you go through is indescribable. I was obsessed checking my statue all the way home. Just about 5mins of checking my statue back to back, there it says our petition approved, mail sent. Customer has been register for green card. My wife woke up from her sleep with full kiss to congratulate her.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
