Embassy Review : On interview day we went early and found atleast 10 people ahead of us in the line. After some time we were screned and eneterd the consuklate slowly. the sick elderly and children were allowed in first. We got a number and when it was called we were asked to submit our ducuments. the lady at the window was 50% nice to us. But there was some language barrier as Senegal is French speaking.

After that we were asked to sit and wait for our names to be called. Again we went to pay the aplication fee. However, the official exchange rate the embassy used was higher than the prevailing market rate. so we were short of the amount. But as always, i came along with more money than the fee.

Ater paying, we waited for about 30 minutes. we were called for interview. The officer was very professional. She asked my fiancee a lot of questions while i stood. All was perfect. She never spoke to me throughout the interview process. I just stood there but it provided comfort to my finace.

We were then given a green slip to come back in three days for the visa. However, when we came, it took longer to get the visa than the interview process. Eventually we had the brown envelope and the visa stamped. I was very happy and kissed her in the front of the embassy with many on lookers. I just did not care. I know it was culturally sensitive, but i was a happy man.

Thank you visa journey for all the help. Thank God for making our dreams a reality.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
