Event Description

Embassy Review : Hi, I joined my wife for her CR-1 interview in December of last year. I was under the impression of the officers to be kind due to the holidays season but somewhat it was. First we both were interviewed by an american gentleman he asked me couple questions then he asked my wife if this marriage is love or arranged and when we got married. He did not ask for any proof of pictures and simply told us that he got some dest work to do then we will call you back (could been alot better if he has said I have some dirty work and will have an indian officer to degrade you).
We waited on those comfortable chairs for hours and then we were called on counter #8. That counter has walls and door so the officers can interrogate you, insult you to get the truth out. First they called me in for questions and I walked proudly thinking 'I am American' but they made me feel does not matter who you are we want you to tell the truth and get the visa faster. This is the first time I felt myself second class citizen when that officer tried to proove a fraud on me. My answer did not change cause the truth was in front of them.
Same thing they did to my wife but she insisted to tell the truth. They called me again to ask if I have changed my mind, I answered no and added this is what I am proud to say I do not need to lie in the country I am from.
All day they could not decide they wanted to break us with these tricks but why would we. At the end of the day they called us to tell that they wil let us know later. We took off and got a call after 10 days asking which VFS office you would like to collect your passport. My wife collected the passport and here we are in the world of frees. Thanks.
Rating : Very Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
