Consulate Review: New Delhi, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 4, 2012
Embassy Review : My interview lasted a total of 5 minutes. I literally had to ask the Consular Officer if my interview was over when it was! He only asked me where my husband and I had met, what our families thought of our marriage, where I was working and in what capacity and about the countries I had lived in previously. That's all! Yes. The only time I had to wait was before the interview. Waiting in line, nervously, anxiously... well, the waiting has been the most taxing experience of this visa process. But the moment the Consular Officer said, "Your visa has been approved," I almost jumped and squealed with joy!

And now I'm in the US with the husband...waiting to turn my temp green card into a permanent one 90 days before our 2nd anniversary!

Just want to wish all of you the best of luck! Hope it all works out.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
