Embassy Review : Our interview was scheduled at 9am 4/8/13 and we arrived at 8:30am. We got in line and they asked for 9am appointments to come forward, they look at your appointment letter and then you empty your pockets to go through the metal detector. From there you wait in the courtyard until the guard allows you to go in and present your appointment letter to the window beside the cashier. After that, you will go back to the courtyard and wait until your name is called. I did not go in with my Finacee until it was time for the interview. He tells me that the times he was called in was to pay the fee and then again to present the application paper, financial info, etc.
At about 1:15 we were finally called back to interview with an American man.
The questions asked were: How and when did you meet?
What were you doing in Trinidad? Why was he in Trinidad?
How many times did you see each other?
When did you get engaged?
How do you communicate with each other?
When was the last time you seen each other?? Why so long ?
How does your family feel about the relationship?
What about the age difference?
When do you plan to marry?
My Fiancee was so nervous that he spoke so fast that the man could not understand him,, Which was a great thing!!! The man asked me all the questions after the 1st question he asked my Fiancee, LOL!!!! Soooooo,,, he looked at the paperwork and said everything was in order and said for us to pick up the visa Wednesday 4/10/13 at 2pm. He never asked for proof of ongoing relationship and I asked him did he need to see it and he told me to stop trying to convince him! My only advice is to be genuine in your answers... A lot of VJers say to keep your answers short...but I say to just be real!!! My answers were not long but were very thoughtful. He knew our relationship was real...Especially when I started screaming and crying when he said to pick the Visa up on Wednesday... If you can go to the interview, it definitely shortens the processing time. It was worth the trip!

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
