Consulate Review: Sydney, Australia

Event Description

Embassy Review : Just got back from the consulate with a nice little letter saying that my application was approved!

Great experience at the Sydney consulate. I had a 9am appointment and went in and sat and waited for about half an hour. I was then called up and a nice older lady checked through all my paperwork for about another 15 minutes... painful wait for me. she then told me everything looked good and i would be called up soon for my interview. I waited probably another 40 mins watching and listening to everyone else get interviewed and hearing their questions. A few people were sent home empty handed because of lack of documentation, which got me a lil nervy. Then finally i hear my name called out and i go up to window number 7 where there was a really lovely, super friendly, younger girl who made me swear on the info and sign a bit of paper and she then asked me

Been married before
How much was your medical
how many times have you been to the states
has she been to australia
she met your parents
when are you getting married
what are you doing for the wedding
when do you plan on leaving

there might have been something else but i cant remember..
super easy really friendly staff
As long as you have all your stuff you will be in and out in no time!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
