Comments : We got an RFE at interview cause the medical. Even mine was issued within 1 year by venezuelan doctor, the officer still wanted the form I/693 only vaccination. Note: the original medical form I brought from Venezuela had a tick in Vaccination Incomplete and another tick in waiver. So he said that needed a certification that said Vaccination completed....

Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 28, 2012
Embassy Review : I arrived at 6:45 am and already lot of people and a big line...asked about inmigration line and they sent me to the exact point...Waited for like 2 hours and my number was called for the first interview....She was a very polite and professional lady...she asked me in spanish for the forms 156, 156K and 230...Then she asked me for the birth certificate and the divorce decree (JUST COPIES). While reviewing this papers she asked me some questions. When and How do we met...How old is he...How long have we met..When was our first meeting in person and where..What was the name of the Hotel we stayed in our first trip together (Which I didnt remember .....and I said I dont remember the name but we spent 5 days and we went in a excursion to this places there)....If I was been before to USA...What my family and Kids thinks about our relation. How we comunicate..If he has been in Caracas....then she asked me for the police record and the I-134 and one copy of the taxes (2011 and 2010).She didnt take the job letter..Then she request the evidence of the relation and I opened the big clear file...and she said only the pictures...

Then she sent me to pay the fee and wait for another couple of hours...there was 2 other ladies for K1 Visa and a lot for another types of inmigration visa. Then a nice lady in another window pointed at me like saying YOU come here is your turn...While looking at my papers she asked me again if I had been before to USA...when was the last two times..What did I do on the last trip and why I travel there (was a special ocassion of my fiance daughter)....if my fiance speak spanish which I said NO...and then she asked me if I speak english and I said yes...so from there the interview was in english...

This lady was polite but nice and very professional too in the way she asked questions...She asked me What I use to do for living...What is his profession...About his kids and my kids how many...(well not really kids...BIG GIRLS!!!)...what my kids do....when are we going to marry...when I intend to leave..Where are you planning to work...which I said No working for now...just spending time together planning our wedding and sharing time like a couple...what medicines my fiance use to take and if he has any health to take care...which I answer correctly.

Then she said Your Visa has been approved...OMG!!!...I wanted to give her a big HUG!!!...But so many feelings running inside me that I just said a CALM Thank you very much...(I think my mind went to sleep...jajajajajaja)...was a long waiting but is an amazing experience that I will never forget...This step has teach me and my fiance that there is no distance between two persons in love and love always find ways to help a couple to do paperwork together, support each other everyday and get calm when anxious comes around...

My suggestions...cause there was a young girl with the K1 too...I and the people there were amazed with her answers....but she was so natural and honest about her answers that she got the visa approval...so be honest about everything...if you dont know...just answer that....she didnt know even his addres or celphone...and she just said let me look the papers cause I have bad memory and I dont know....Cause interview is near to the people waiting you can hear all the answers....so they met on FB and was kind of weird but she was so honest about her answers that she made it....

Another suggestion...review all the papers sent in the I-129...questions were there and from the pictures we sent...The name of the Hotel was in one picture...and I didnt remember THE NAME....BUAHHHHH!!!..But I DO remember the amazing time we had there!!!...

In conclusion...everyone in a true relationship should be fine...People at embassy is very professional in their job...and very respectfull...Just answer honestly....If anyone has any more question feel free to ask....Good Luck to all....and dont forget LOVE ALWAYS WIN!!!...

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
