Event Description
Review Date : March 31, 2012
Embassy Review : Our interview was at 0830am. Very early. We were there sitting and waiting with our lawyer at around 0800am. We had gone through security and the sort, so we were on time. At about 0803, our ticket number is called and then a lady walks towards us and leads us to her office. She asks for our ID's, SS card, I-20's (F-1 student) and my EAD card. We gave all of that to her and then she swore us in and then we started the interview. She didn't smile and she wasn't friendly either. Anyways, she asked the I-485 questions, my name, DOB, address and then she asks how we met, where did we meet, how many times we saw each other (cos we lived in different states) etc. She then asked for our evidence and we presented it to her. We had life insurance polices, emails and cards we sent to each other, utility bills, flight itineries, joint bank account statements, affidavits, joint credit cards we had, etc. Apparently she wasn't satisfied with what we had and she frowned and then took our evidence and my passport and EAD card to make copies. She comes back to the office and hands me my passport with my I-94 still in it and my EAD card. She then sat at her computer and was typing and then later she said we would get a letter in the mail. She didn't even acknowledge us when we left. I wasn't expecting that at all. we were very unsure of what the result would be. we just couldn't say. Anyways, the lawyer told us that we were okay and we should look out for a letter in the mail.
Apparently, we were good. Cos we got approved on 03/28/2012! After almost an intense 2 weeks wait! The Lord does answer prayers!!!!
Harassment Level : Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
