Embassy Review : Man that was fast!
So I just had my K-1 interview at the Paris Consulate.
Arrived at 12.45, a nice lady gave me the appropriate ticket and off I go to wait.
My appointment was at 1pm, so when my watch turned 1.10pm and I hadn't seen any movement on the display, I was starting to worry it would take hours.
But not at all.
First time called: drop your ticket and convocation letter to a nice lady, probably French or with no accent at all. 30 seconds, done!
Go back to waiting seats for 10-15 minutes, then same booth (and same lady) to drop the police and birth certificate, DS-156, 156K and 157, medical results, visa fee receipt, 5x5 photos, etc etc...
The lady was very delighted to see that all my documents were 99% fullfilled, including the address on the Chronopost envelope.
She said that most of people are just waiting to be at the booth to fill the papers...
Anyhow, she made me sign the DS-156, took my fingerprints and sent me back to wait for the CO to call me.
Since I had filled out the forms, it took me no more than 10-15 minutes.
I waited not even 5 minutes, then my number appeared again on the display.
Off to booth #11. The CO made me took an oath to tell the truth, bla bla bla...
She asked me, in French with a lovely American accent, where I met my fiancée.
Then if I had already spent time in the US, and when.
And that's it!
In our original I-129F package, she found a picture of my fiancée and I, dated back July 2011, posing in front of a goofy scenery (the ones where you put your head through).
She laughed and said it was all the proof they needed...
She then said that the Visa would be sent between 7 to 10 days.
It took me like 10 minutes maybe. I didn't even give her the additional evidence of relationship I had prepared (flight tickets and pictures).
At 2.15pm, I was walking out of the door, getting my car key back and heading home...

Both ladies were super nice.
The first lady (no not Mrs Obama) asked me if I had already made arrangments for the flight. I have been honest and said yes. So she made me write the date of planned arrival on the DS-156. Hopefully it will speed up the process.

On a side note, I am more than grateful to Doctor Jolly who corrected the documents that Dr Slattery's office screwed up (wrong passport number).
She gave me an appointment under a 1 day notice and squeezed me between two of her patients appointments.
She sent a mail to the Embassy and wrote a letter enclosed in the resealed envelope containing medical results.
Rating : Very Good

Embassy Review : What to say?
The plane, from Paris, landed at 12.30.
At 12.45, I was at the CBP officer counter, I handed my passport (with K-1 visa) and the brown envelope received from the US Emnbassy.
The officer looked at my visa, opened the envelope, checked a couple of sheets, and that was it!
He stamped and stapled my I-94 tub to the passport and indicated the expiration date. Voila!
No further question asked. The officer only told me to get married before my I-94 expired (which I already knew of course).
Stress free experience...

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
