Comments : We sent the application to TX, it was transferred to VT in a week, and then it was 3 weeks until we heard from VT that is was received. It took 4-5 months to hear from anyone again regarding our case, except for an email about how to track the status.

*PACKET#3 - we waited 1 month for packet #3 to arrive, then our advisor suggested we download the packet forms from the consulate website directly and send them in, which we did. 2 weeks later we received packet #3 in the mail?!
our advice for you, once you know they have your application at the consulate, download the forms for the packet from the website and mail them in, don't wait around for the packet to arrive, it will save you a lot of time and get you into the interview queue!!! same for packet #4, we never even go that one!!
**Police Report Clearance needs to be from the passport office that issued your passport. If you just have a local police report (like we had) they will make you go get the other one before they give you the visa!! (which we did ; )
***After the interview H received a 221g form which states the visa has been approved but further information is needed before it will be issued. we gathered the few things requested (including the pain in the arse police report) along with the passport at the nearest VFS office. We received the passport WITH K1 VISA within 8 working days. It took only 2 days once the consulate sent it to VFS, you can track the whole process.
whew...its over, this part anyway...

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
