Event Description
Review Date : August 9, 2012
Embassy Review : My fiancee had her interview this morning. She arrived at 7:30 am and was able to go inside at 8 when they called for appointments at 8:30. They took her evidence (3 lbs of papers, 4 inches worth!) after about 15-20 minutes. There were about 15 other immigrant visa applicants waiting in the same room. There was a separate area for non-immigrant visas. There was only one window open, and one female interviewing officer handled all the applicants, starting at 9:15. My fiancee was called up after 6 interviews, an hour later. She wasn't even asked about language preference and the interview was in Russian. She was asked the following questions:

1. Who is Linda? (her future mother-in-law)
2. Have you met your fiance's parents in person?
3. Where and when did you meet your fiance initially?

Then she was told she was approved and her visa would be sent soon!

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
