Consulate Review: Egypt
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 23, 2012
Embassy Review : My husband said the interview was very easy and the consulate was very kind (American women in her 30's)
My husband's number was called. The lady was rushing and said I need your passport and medical. She gave him some of my papers back (My tax transcripts from 2009 and 2008 and my cover letter for the packet.) Then told him to go pay DHL. At this point he was sure he was approved and he relaxed.

He went for his interview with a big smile he said. The consulate asked, how we met? When did I go there? For how long? Do I have kids? Where do I work? She asked about my divorce papers and he gave them to her. She said great and was pleased he had them with him. He said it was an easy and very friendly conversation and both were smiling for the duration of the interview. She said Congrats we approved your visa...and he asked about AP. She said no, you don't need it. You will have your visa in 10 days. Alhamdullah!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
