Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Chicago
POE Date : 2005-12-03
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : They were very serious and "angry-looking", but they did not harass me at all. Asked me if I had ever met my husband in real life, I thought that was quite funny! The entire process from going through the first and second clerks and being on my way to get my luggage was about 1 hour 20 minutes. It mostly consisted of sitting on a bench waiting for my name to be called to the second clerk. I saw other immigrants being taken into a room for what I can only assume was more in depth interviews. Im glad I was not one of them! When I was called to the clerk, she handed me my paperwork and sent me on my way! Did not get an "Welcome to the USA". She hardly even looked at me. I was a happy camper though!
My luggage was luckily for me already picked up and sent on to my domestic flight home! I even had 20 minutes to spare at the gate before my connecting flight out of Chicago!
