Comments : This process was long and very stressful to me. I applied for my lifting conditions on March of 2015. I had a very nice friend who helped me online with so many questions and guide about organizing my package and filing out the forms (since my K1 process!), but I was a bit afraid cause I didn't have enough documents to send, afraid but somehow, confident. As the time went by, I forgot about the process, but when people who I follow here on VisaJourney, started update their timelines saying that they were approved and nothing was happening to me regards my process, I started get really nervous and scared... Finally, in January 14 of 2016 I got a letter from them, but I felt that something was wrong, I read their letter and faced the worst nightmare: RFE. My timeline response was April 4 of 2016. I remember that I got so depressed since I got that letter. I ran to my online friend to give me some help with that RFE cause I was lost and she got me to know another friend of her who also received a RFE, this friend gave me advices on how to proceed and if possible get a lawyer. My husband contacted 3 lawyers but it was expensive, then we decide not to get a lawyer and do on our own. We gathered as much documents as we could: deed, living trust, joint bank accounts statements, cell phone statements showing all our exchanged calls, photos, affidavits from friends, joint tax transcripts. car insurance, utility bills, health insurance, everything we could send that we didn't before. My package was sent out on March 29 of 2016 and they received on March 30 (the next day). I knew that this waiting period was going to be very stressful. Every day I checked my mail box, their website (my case status) my email... when finally yesterday, April 18, at work, I got a text message and an email from them saying that my case have been updated and I could check, I was at work and got so nervous but the answer was yes! My new card was coming! When I got home from work, there was their letter in the mail box, saying congratulations you were approved!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
