Embassy Review : I went to the embassy at 08:00am after the security check I preceded to the visa section counter, they asked me about my visa type and they handed my double printed number. After 30 minutes my number flashed on and she was young veiled Egyptian lady she greeted me with smile and asked for my passport, birth and military service certificates and asked me some questions about my fiancee,

She gave me receipt and asked me to pay 350$ to the cashier.

After 120 minutes my number flashed for the fingerprint, she was oriental American lady she greeted me with smile and asked me to take my fingerprint scan.

After 30 minutes my number flashed for the interview he was American man in his late 40th when I proceeded to the window he was reading a papers front of him I said good morning he didn't answer!

Then he gave me a paper and asked me to sign it, it was DS-156 form so I signed it.

He kept looking at the papers front of him then he looked at me and said how you met your fiancee I told him I met her online since 3 years then he kept reading the papers

Then he asked me if I have any proof for my relation so I gave him around 100 emails since 3 years until the date of the interview, chat histories, photos, letters, phone bills - it was already submitted in my packet 3 so he said let me check the photos by very grumpy face then Laughed sarcastically when he saw the photos! I asked him if any thing is funny in the photos he looked at me but didn't answer

When he did that I was very tension and felt very disrespectful for his unacceptable attitude but I kept quiet

Then he looked at me and said convince me that your case not for immigration purposes so what do you have to say for that? So I told him that I was educated in France and I have stable business in Egypt with high salary, traveled outside Egypt to more 10 countries then I started to explain to him how I met my fiancee since 3 years and how our relation developed and we met 4 times but he was writing on the computer and he didn't even looked at me!!
Then he asked me again

How I met my fiancee
How many time she married before
How many kids she has
What's her job

Then he said I cannot give you the visa now I have to send this case to Washington and he pointed to Egyptian lady behind him and he told me she will explain to you more, he was about to leave so I told him why you cannot give me the visa now he pointed to the lady again and said in angry accent that she will explain to me then I asked him ok so how long it will take so he came very close to the window by his face and told me I cannot give you minimum or maximum time then he left.

The Egyptian lady handed me AP paper with my case number and asked me to check the embassy website after 90 days.

Then I left the embassy

It was so bad experience for me with that counselor, he was so rude and not fair at all and I hope no one will meet him

Hate USA embassy and decided to marry my fiancee in Egypt

Rating : Very Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
