Embassy Review : Ok i am here to tell how my medical exam and interview went! I left my town on oct 11 morning, drove 6 arous to get to Bucharest, checked in at Casa Alba Camping just coz it was 10 min walk from the US embassy. The conditions sucked so dont go there LOL. On oct 12 at 9 i was at the medical center called Regina Maria, so nice people there, that is the place where the ro people should do the meical exam for the visa! At 9.30 was my appointment, atthat hour a lady took some blood for the test. At 12.30 i had to came back for the xray and around 2.30 i got all the results. All those waiting hours betwen i spent in a coffee bar lol, near the medical center. Next day, 13 oct, at 12.30 i was in front of the US embassy where i waited together with the rest of the people until one o'clock when someone came and called our names and invited us to go in, 2 by 2. first they checked us and the bags, after we went into a waiting room. We gave the passport and waited to hear our name caled at diffrent window. First i gave the birth certificate (original and copy),the criminal record, divorce papers (original and copy), the affidavit, 2010 tax, 3 pay stubs from September, letter and bank stuff - my fiance is self employed. Last thing i gave was the proof of relationship. Next steps were the fingerprinting and to pay the 350$.
After that the wait begun!!!! I was the penultimate person interviewed, so my wait was sooo long. Anyway i heard my name and went in front of the consul who asked me in what language i want us to talk, i said english, of course lol. He made me raise my right hand and swear i will say the truth and that i am going to marry within 90 days. We had some problems with the mic so we moved to an otjer window and he start talking to me. I have t say it was not like an interview but like a talk betwen 2 people. He asked me a lot about my job, i am a journalist. Asked me where i will live and what i will want to work there, about my fiance job and if he has plans for the future in this area. What food my finace likes lol, when i plan to go there. At one moment the consul said "your huband" and after correct himself. when my fiance came and how many times, if i have sisters or brothers, what my parents think about me leaving. He did not asked me nothing about his familly, about when and how we gonna get married, wich was strange for me coz i waited for that lol I repet he did concentrate on my job! At one point he asked me if i have questions, i said no and he said to move to the first window we were. We did that and he started to ask me when i got in Bucharest, how many hours i made with the train and i told him i drove lol Whehn he took a break in talking i asked "Its everything ok?" coz he did not said if i have the visa or not and he answer "Oh yes all its fine you have the visa!" HORAYYYYY! During the interview he kept on writing some stuff on a paper. He have me something like a ticket and told me to go to the window 1 coz the passport and the big envelope will come to me by courier. Before i left i asked him what i need for the POE and he said the envelope and the passport! I said thank you and he wished me good luck and all the best!
It was ok, no worries if the relathionship its real and you have all the papers! The people were nice, the consul was a lil bit strange and shy lol, but nice! Good luck to all of you! We did it!!!!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
