Comments : They apparently issued her K1 visa on the 14th of August and cancelled it with prejudice, and then turned around and issued another on the 20th. No idea what they were doing.

At POE, they messed up her I-94 expiration date, short changed her by about 2 weeks. Be sure to double check their math!

Event Description

Embassy Review : The interview went well. She was very prepared, had a ton of documents, pictures, etc., but the only thing they wanted to see was her J1 waiver letter. No pictures, or any other proof required. She waited for hours and was approved in like 15 minutes. Crazy

Big issue now is that her approval letter mentioned she would receive her visa in 1 to 2 weeks. Well, it has been slightly over two weeks and her visa is still "processing." Very annoying considering her flight is in a week! We haven't been able to get any information from the consulate, they just parrot the same response "The visa is still processing. Please wait." Maddening.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
