Consulate Review: Warsaw, Poland
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 19, 2011
Embassy Review : Interview went smooth, the CO was very nice and a helpful young woman.
This is how it went down:
Interview was at 8:45AM. They were letting people in at 8. Security checked the passport and interview letter. (Kept your phone if you had it with you, but it had to be turned off) Security Guard directed me to window 8. There, i got my waiting number, submitted medicals, pictures and passport.
(Lady that collected documents):
Who is the petitioner?
Who's the CO-sponsor?
How old are you?
Did you ever go to US?
What kind of visa did you have?

Went to sit down, after 10 minutes I was called for fingerprints. Did that and went to sit back down again. Waited for about an hour until a CO calls me up to the interview window. Saw my number at window 2. The CO there was very nice and a helpful young woman. She asked me the following questions:
When am i planning on coming to the US?
When was the wedding?
& where am I going to stay when I get there.
She skimmed through the pictures, we chatted about her job and Chicago.
After about 10 minutes she said Congratulations, go tell your husband you're coming home. Handed the DHL slip to me and said visa will arrive within 5 business days. Visa delivery is 23 zl, no matter how far you live. You pay on the spot when they deliver.
& that's it! Hopefully this helps! :D

Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Chicago
Event Description
Entry Date : 2011-10-28
Embassy Review : My plane landed at 3:20PM. There was a huuuuuuge line in front of me. My IO was very nice, but his friend in the next window looked like he wanted to beat someone up. Besides the waiting, everyhing was smooth and fast. Officer only asked where is my husband right now, put my file in a pink folder and told me to get my baggage and go to Section 4 for New Immigrants. There, I gave another officer my pink folder and waited about 10 minutes. He called me up took my fingerprint and signature. After that, they scanned my suitcases and I was free to go. I was out of the airport at 7:30PM so it basically took 4 hours to get through everything.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
