Case transf. from TX. to CA USCIS. NOA1 came in fair amount of time, (4/14) but after a long time, the NOA2 was nowhere, even after NVC sent us notice it had been approved by USCIS. But the USCIS\'s Nat.Service? Center kept on insisting there was NO NOA2--nor ANY approval yet--not online--not on their phone data base and that I \"should be patient and watch the mail box\" and that the NVC had made a mistake and sent me a letter by accident or perhaps my fiance\' and ANOTHER man (with my name) had filed for a diff. fiance\' visa and the NVC sent it to my address by accident, along with a case number.(really!) Still--the USCIS suggested I file an I 824 request and send it to them, along with $195, so I could get a copy of the NOA2 they said \"didn\'t exist\". Well, I copied my I-129F, NOA1 and NVC letters, along with the I-824 requested, and sent it to the CA Service center, explaining that given the bizzare situation, I was respectfully asking if they would waive the $195 fee.(I didn\'t mention that they were sometimes rude and twice hung up on me after saying \"we\'re sorry--but we only have access to the same info. you see on line--we don\'t even have the USCIS work center\'s phone numbers.\") A few days later, I fell out of my chair when the nicest guy called me on the phone from the CA USCIS and admitted they had made an error--that my NOA2 had been approved and notice sent to the NVC--but that they just forgot to send ne the NOA2 or to update the data base. He even called Manila and told me my petition was already there for about a week and gave me his desk phone number! Why on earth is the USCIS\'s National Service? Center so unable to check on irregularities in any of the 4 processing centers? Why can\'t they have the center\'s phone numbers or more data access, instead of telling people to keep their heads in their mailboxes or to file another form and send along $195? If this is overseen by the US Dept. of National Security. I\'m worried! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
