Consulate Review: New Delhi, India
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 14, 2011
Embassy Review : appointment was at 8.00am and we were out by 10.30am most of the time was spent waiting for our number. Our interview was only 1 to 2 minutes long. I stood next to my fiance during the interview but was not suppose to answer any of the questions. There were only three questions.
1. How did you guys meet?
2. Have you ever met her parents
3. What does she do for work?
I am not Indian, he is Indian. I was born and raised in the U.S. and am caucasion.
We had the Chinese looking guy do our interview.
The couple who went before us said they asked a lot of questions about w2s and taxes but they never even asked to see mine. We submitted tons of documentation showing our relationship to USCIS and they had the entire file there. We had an immigration attorney do all the paperwork for us and put together our file. I'm pretty sure they had their decision before we arrived since they had the file in their hands 2 months before our scheduled interview date.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
