Local US CIS Office Review: Chicago IL

Event Description
Review Date : April 18, 2011
Embassy Review : Woooooohooooo...I heard those magic words from officer that "I will receive my GC in 2-3 weeks" ....Thank God and Bless that officer.

Details: Amazing officer and interview was very smooth lasted around 20 min.

We checked in Chicago office @ 7:40 AM my interview time was 9:00 AM but we called in by officer at 8:15 AM.
1.) we were sworn by officer.
2.) He asked for our IDs and my passport he detached my old I-94, my Birth Certi.
3.) He started with me and asked Full name, address, Birth place, SSN, some I-485 questions, Employer name and gave a paper to sign & date me and my wife.
4.) Then he moved to my wife and started to ask her personal details same as me.
5.) Asked about her status in US and asked for citizen certi.
6.) Asked when you started dating and know each other, my wife answered.
7.) Asked her that do you have joint bank a/c and did you file tax together? asked for copies of both.
8.) Asked for wedding location.
9.) Asked for wedding photos and we hand over album, based on it asked who is this when our photos came with our parents.
10.) When reached to main wedding event he said fine and he said let me make copies of some photos. He came back after 3-4 min. and asked one more question on one of our photos, I answered and he spoke magic words. We Thanked him and came out I saw the time and it was 8:42 AM.

Thanks all for sharing your experinces & guidence so that I could built my confidence and helped me lot. Good Luck to rest who are waiting and sure you will share your happy moments soon.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
