Explained we have a daughter together etc. Then the officer said follow me, I had a mini heart attack. He told me to wait outside the office and I waited...and waited. Another immigration officer was processing my visa inside, she me to update my status as soon as I get married and that was it!!! Processing Estimates/Stats : Your I-129f was approved in 49 days from your NOA1 date. Your interview took 147 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

Consulate Review: Dublin, Ireland Review Topic: K1 Visa Event Description Review Date : July 27, 2010 Embassy Review : Arrived for interview no earlier than scheduled time of 1:00PM. Waited in the queue to be cleared by security. Was given my security tag and told to progress to the office area. I was one of 2 people waiting for an interview, I was called immediately. I was asked to present several relevant documents, then asked to pay the fee to the cashier. Unfortunately the fees had increased substantially since my instruction letter was received and I was advised incorrectly of the draft amount, they would not take the draft I had with me which was for a higher amount. Then I discovered that I was missing a set of forms; I was told I have an hour to get the correct draft amount and complete and print the missing forms. There was some confusion over the correct draft amount by the cashier. I left the embassy and ran around like a headless chicken for an hour but made it back in time. I was literally back in the door when I was called back to the window. I was asked to pay again and then asked for the forms that I had just completed. They asked me for my envelope and postage, (the envelope is a 12x 14 size, it's gigantic and similar to the size of the envelope your chest xray comes in). I had to shop around to find the right size. I was asked to sit down. I sat down and was called almost immediately again for my interview which took place at another window. The officer was very nice and polite, and asked me for some more documentation. One thing I was missing was an original divorce decree from my partners first marriage, they needed a certified original copy signed by a court clerk. she asked the following questions... 1. where and When did you meet your fiance 2. how long are you dating. Did you start dating immediately upon meeting... 3. when did he propose. (I told her about our baby and she asked some questions about her) 4. what does he work at. 5. do I intend to work in the U.S 6. What kind of work would I do. The officer then asked if she could see some photos, she was so nice and made some really nice comments about the photos of us together and of our baby etc. She then took my fingerprints. Then she told me I needed to get the original docs sent to her ASAP and she gave me a refusal letter stating that I needed the missing document. She then advised me that once everything was received I would get my large envelope in the post with my passport and visa enclosed and a sealed envelope that was to be handed to immigration (unopened) when I reached the POE. That was that.....not a painful experience at all, the only problems were inflicted by myself! the whole process was quite fast from start to finish. 3 days later on the 23rd the Embassy had the required original documents, I received my passport and visa four days later. So it took a week exactly to receive my visa from my interview date. Rating : Good
