Overall the experience was quite good. I came to Ukraine to be with Natasha at her interview and I was freaked about sending my evidences and financial support stuff through the mail. That and I think it helps that you are there. I could be wrong. Our appointment was at 9:30 AM. We got there about 9:00 AM and went down the street to the ProCredit Bank and paid the fees. We got done there and waited in the lobby for a few minutes because we did not want to wait outside in the cold and rain to get in for our appointment.
So we entered the security doors and they did not like my backpack   , so we had to walk across the street and give them my bag. They locked it in the cabinet and gave us a yellow plastic ticket. We went back and entered the room. Showed our passports and documents for why we where there. We went through the metal detector and they used the hand swiping thing on us. After that we went out of that room and entered the main building.
Finding the room, there was one person in front of us in line , but the lobby was full of people waiting for interviews  . Our turn came at the window and we talked to the guy who organizes all your papers. We gave him everything he asked for and all the evidences we had. He took them all and put them together and told us to wait for finger printing and then interview. About 30 minutes later, they called Natasha to get her finger prints done. That took like 1 minute.
45 Minutes later, they called Natasha back for interview and told me, "I could not go back with her." That was OK I guess, because she was only back there for 2 minutes or so. They asked her a few questions, like "where did you meet" and stuff. At 11:12, Natasha got her pink card  and we went to leave but first asked the guy a question about a yellow envelope. It was something Natasha remembered people writing about on here, but I had no clue about. Apparently you get it when you get your stuff from FedEx.
So we went to pay the FedEx guy and then picked up Natasha's phone and left. Now we went and ate. I was starving as we had not had breakfast.
* NOTE * Advise to those that go, have all you evidences ready to had over. Try not to organize too much, but have things easily handy. More evidence is better the none. When going for the interview, try to be relaxed. Also, if you can eat before going and it does not make you sick, do eat. Relax, you are almost to get your Visa. If you do not know Ukrainian, you might like to learn some as soon as possible, it would really be nice to know what is being said sometimes. |
