Consulate Review: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 21, 2009
Embassy Review : We arrived at the Consulate in Rio at approximately 07:00 and we had several people ahead of us waiting for their interview. We FINALLY had our interview at 15:15. They were a little slow... The Officer asked us both questions about our relationship and reasons for marriage, etc. He was direct, but kind. We received the Visa Package in the mail within a few days.

BTW do NOT stay at Formule 1 Hotel, someone on this website recommended it and it was disgusting. And the city is the filthiest city I have visited. We arrived at the dirty hotel late, then received visa, and finally jumped in the car to drive as FAST as we could out of that God forsaken city. I pray God will clean up the city. GBU

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
