Consulate Review: Islamabad, Pakistan
Review Topic: K3 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 26, 2009
Embassy Review : Woke up at 6:30 am. Left house at 7:00am. Got to shuttle at 7:15 am. Got to embassy by 8:30 am. The time given on the paper is not accurate interview time. Was with my husband. Checking was easy for me, seperated women from men. Then told me to sit while sent my husband to another room for fingerprint. Then went to another room, waited to be called paid fee. Then sat again, called again looked at file then looked at me and asked who was I, looked at my passport. Then asked me how long I been here in Pakistan, if I worked? Then again told us to sit down and be called again. Then called, an American lady and translator; took the interview took our oath. Then told me to sit while interview my husband. Asked him how we met? what he saw in me? If he travelled outside of Pakistan? Then told him to call me, then came said congrats you passed interview but we will not give you the visa yet. You will receive your visa in 4-5 weeks. But overall good service especially to American citizens. Did't ask for no proof of evidence. But I thank god and made it easy since I was there with him at the interview.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
