Questions I was asked by the CBP officer:

1. What visa do you have?
2. Show all materials associated with your K-1 visa.
3. Are you bringing any fruits, meat, or seeds?
4. How much cash are you carrying? Include all currencies.
5. Are you carrying any alcoholic beverages?
6. Look at the camera — they will take a photo.
7. You are a K-1 visa holder, so you will need a secondary interview**.

Secondary Interview**
1. How long have you known your fiancé?
2. How did you meet each other?
3. What do you like most about your fiancé?
4. What kind of person is he?
5. How did your relationship develop?
6. What did you do when you were previously in the U.S.?
7. Your university major is XX — why did you choose this?
8. After getting married, do you plan to work in China again?
9. Have you worked in China before? How much did you earn per month? Generally, how much can people in your industry earn?
10. After arriving in the U.S., when do you plan to get married?
11. After arriving in the U.S., will you look for a job?
12. Let me see your photos.
13. Is your U.S. address XXX?
14. Okay, I will give your envelope with missing corner materials to USCIS. Remember, you must get married within 90 days and submit your AOS. I hope you enjoy your time in the U.S.

The conversation was super fun and the CBP officer was super cool and nice. He also helped me for my next flight transition. Overall it was a good experience.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
