Comments : Our adjustment of status application was approved on March 18th, date shown on the portal was March 19th.

Our interview date was November 22, 2025. At the interview, no decision could be made due to our lease being informal. The officer requested a notarized affidavit from our land lord, which was obtained and uploaded as unsolicited evidence after the fact. Additional unsolicited evidence included credit reports, rental insurance agreements, and a joint bank account.

On March 4th 2026, approximately 102 days post interview, we submitted a congressional inquiry to USCIS about the status of our case. A staffer from the Senator's office replied to us on March 18th, stating that USCIS informed them the case was approved that same day, 116 days post interview.

Hey! I was following your timeline since our filing date are similar. Mine is AOS though but I am seeing that you got your interview scheduled, but no EAD approval or update yet? Is that right?

@Netsinb No update yet on Mark's EAD, we rescheduled biometrics to September 29, last status update for his EAD was also on the 29th of September from a few mins after biometrics were taken, still stuck on 'Case is Still being processed by USCIS', fingers crossed we may not need it though.

@netsinb @EoinM Hi! I was waiting for the EAD and was scared seeing no approvals in Visajourney after the Shutdown for people adjusting from K1. Out of curiosity, I just logged into MysUSCIS and saw the approval for EAD in the EAD documents tab (I-765), it had been there for a day already, but no notification was sent to my email. I know this is a very long shot and probably I was just very very lucky, but I wanted to leave it here in case it could help any of you. I hope yours come as soon as possible.

I’ve been waiting 3 months since my interview in Maryland—did the Senator inquiry help even if you were still within 'normal' processing times… ? in Emma they keep saying it to me don’t contact until 2028, so frustrating…Any advice?

@Mer20250 Thanks! Yes our interview was at the Chicago Field Office. I believe our inquiry did help a lot. The case was approved right after we received their response. The email informed us we got approved. My best advice would be to submit an inquiry around the 100 day mark. The wait can be maddening, but keep in mind the information received from Emma can be inaccurate.
