Congratulations on your N-400 approval. What time was your interview? How long was it? What did they ask during the interview? Also, looks like you had the same day oath also? What times do oath ceremony take place?

My Interview was at 10 AM. It took 40 minutes in the queue to get registered for the day and to receive a token. In the second floor, the interviewer comes to get you based on your token counter. They will ask you questions (Civics, English, Signatures, etc) for about 5 to 7 minutes. They will ask if you want same day oath and give you anl yellow packet and diet you to the oath room. 6 oath ceremonies are conducted within the day at a gap of 1.5 hours each. First event is at 8.30 and the last one is at 3.45 PM. My Interview was at 10 and I was able to catch 11.30 ceremony just in time. You will get the same day oath.

Thank you for the details. My interview is at 1:30PM. Hopefully I can get the same day oath ceremony (the last one of 3:45PM).

You have 2.30 pm and 3.45 pm ones. If you go a bit early and clear the queue by 1.50ish, you will easily get 2.30 one. Although they say, 2.30, they keep taking people in for additional 15 minutes. So you should be good as long as you can clear the queue early. I recommend going 45 minutes early although they say 30.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. Did you say the actual interview only took 5-7 minutes? I thought they will go over all the yes/no questions in the form N-400 and civics test and writing and reading. Also did they check all your original documents that you submitted the copy of during filing?

As soon as you enter, they ask for your documents. 1. GC 2. Passport 3. DL Then they ask to raise your hand and answer truthfully. Immediately they move on to civics questions. Sometimes they do friendly chat In between probably when their system loads. Post that they ask you to read a question in the screen. Then they will tell you the answer and you have to write it in the tablet. That was reading, Listening and Writing skills are tested. Once done, they ask all yes no questions, answer slowly after understanding the questions clearly. If you have citations or arrests, they will ask you why and what have you don't to clear it. I had speeding ticket and I paid it in time, I mentioned that and she moved on. Then they ask you to raise hand again and to promise to stand by all US constitution. Lastly they let you know that you have been recommended for naturalization, and ask if will be able to take oath today? That's all there is. So yes, 5 to 7 minutes or 10 if they chitchat. I guess it depends on your case also, possibly when there is a red flag, they might take time to inquire In detail about it. Good luck
