Consulate Review: Dublin, Ireland
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 27, 2009
Embassy Review : Had a great experience at the Dublin embassy. From the security to the office staff they were all well mannered and helpful.

I joined a Queue of just myself and another girl. Was called to a window and a lady asked me for the required info. I then went and paid the fee, took a seat, called by another lady to sign some forms. I then sat again and waited to be called my the Consular Officer. He was a young guy and not a bit intimidating as i'd imagined he would be. I saw the approved stamp on my case before he even start asking me Questions
Question were :- What does your Fiance work at?
Where does he work?
Where does he live and for how long?
When did you get engaged and when do you think you'll be married?
How did you meet?

Simple little things and I had nothing to hide. Waited about 45mins for the Visa and I was done. I was at the Embassy about 2.5hrs. The interview took at the most 10 mins.

Warning though. Make sure you thoroughly check all spellings and info on your visa. I got home and only then noticed they had left the "H" out of my first name. I had to go back to the embassy the following week and wait 1.5hrs for them to amend this error.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
