Comments : On arrival presented my passport with visa and packet from the embassy to the CBP officer. They asked me to sit in a waiting area where I waited for about 25 minutes. I was then called up to speak to a second officer. They just asked which date we were planning to marry and to remember to do so in 90 days, then I was good to go.

Comments : Called into the officer's room while my wife was asked to remain in the waiting area. We then went over the i-485 and he just asked to confirm what I had written was still accurate. Only update that was made was to my employment status, as I am now employed through the EAD.

He then asked "Do you have any documentation for me?" I provided all USCIS stuff, birth certificates, supporting documentation of our relationship. After that he said "everything looks like it should be good, but I'll need to review everything before we can make a final decision. I can't guarantee you'll be approved, but it looks fine."

I asked if needed any info from my wife and he said "no, you did the K-1 so we know that you have a real relationship, so there's no real need to ask her. This is more of a formality." I asked when we should expect to receive notice. He said "I'll try and get to it today, but if not early next week."

We got notice 2 hours later the card was being produced, and it arrived a week after the interview.

Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 13, 2021
Embassy Review : Fairly easy experience! Only tricky part was waiting for an hour. Questions they asked were:
- How and where we met?
- My career
- My fiancée's career
- Had she visited me in the UK
- Our wedding plans

Interview was very polite and she said everything looked good and that they would issue us the visa. Just come prepared with the documents and you'll be fine!
Rating : Very Good

Congrats on NOA2. Did you get an update on the website or just a letter in the mail? We're on the roughly the same timeline. Hopefully the London embassy starts processing these soon!

Hi Beenverine sorry I only just say this, we downloaded the app Lawfully and got the notification from there. Hope you guys hear something soon!

I didn't know about the app- thanks! You might be interested in Greg Siskind's k-1 lawsuit. Look into it. You qualify to participate with a NOA2. I'm hoping mine comes in this week so I can join.

Hi guys - I'm also from the UK awaiting K1 AOS. I notice you've just received your biometrics appointment - I'm a couple of months behind you. Would you mind talking through the stages you went through prior to receiving the appointment notice? Did you chase USCIS at all?
Angela & Brendon on 2021-09-09 said:
We just waited to be notified of the biometrics appointment, and then went once we received it in the mail. No chasing.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
