Comments : I should've been here in US on March however the country where I came from decided to put the country on lock down due to increasing cases of COVID19. My flight has been cancelled twice and we were force to change airline.I flew June 14th with my fur baby. I made sure that all important documents [e.g passport, visa packet, CFO certificate and sticker and my fur baby's documents]. I left Manila at 11:50 pm and all Korean air crews were so nice esp with my dog. My flight from Manila to South Korea was smooth. I got a 5 hr layover there but it went by so fast. You can explore the airport, and go to an money exchange to get Korean won so you can by coffee or whatever you are up to. In my case, I decided to get myself a non decaf coffee at Starbucks and sandwich which has been left untouched.

Whilst I was waiting for my next flight to Atlanta, I received a notification that my luggage [including my fur baby] has been loaded to the plane. If you are planning to take Korean Air, make sure to download their app because it'll give you that relief about your luggage[s].
My flight from Incheon to Atlanta is a pain on the a$$. I slept most of the time because I wanna have more energy once I landed at my Point of Entry.

When I landed in Atlanta,it was a smooth process. The officer asked one of his colleagues to escort me a room. He asked me to get both my luggage and fur baby. When I arrived, there are already 3 Asians there too waiting. After my arrival another woman from the country where I came from arrived. I asked her if she's holding k1 visa too and we've had brief conversation until another American officer called my name. I noticed that he's holding my passport and as I approach him, he asked me where will I have the wedding. I answered him back and after that he told me that I need to marry before Sep 12th and that's it.

Just be confident!

Event Description

Embassy Review : I would like to share my interview that occured on Feb 13th at Manila US Embassy.

I came there around 6am. I came straight from my 8HR nightshift as IT. There are already number of people who are lined up according to the their scheduled appointment. After 15 minutes or so, they had let us in.
They would give out a plastic folder where you should put your passport showing its biopage. They'll check your DS160 on their file then give you bar codes. But guess what? They couldn't find mine 😐❓So the woman put notes on top of my DS160 that i got no bar code. And this is the waiting game started. I was asked to sit on Section D. And you'll see everyone starting the pre-screening then finger print scanning but you are there on Section D waiting for an officer to find your bard code. I am not the only one though. So imagine, no sleep, fresh from a nighshift work and then you'll hit a roadblock by them not finding your bar code . Anyway, I did not murmur coz I trust God with this.
And after an an hour and a half, VOILA! They finally called my name and started the pre-screening. I was assigned to a Filipino Consul who asked me for me and my fiance' documents. My birth certificate is late registered so I DID NOT wait for him to ask me I INITIATED to give my supporting documents like my LCR and baptismal certificate. I told him, "hey my b certificate is late registered but here's my LCR and baptismal certificate. Then he asked why, so I gave him the reason. He asked basic questions bout me, my fiance' and the relationship which are all basics!
Then I headed to fingerprint scanning with an American consul. Then waited again for the last and final step ~ FINAL INTERVIEW.
Whilst waiting I see people who got 3 papers and leave and at the same time, people eho gets grilled byban American consul for more than 30 minutes. When it was my turn, I was assigned to a young American Consul Officer. After i sworn an oath, and got my fingers scanned, he asked me the ff:
• My full name
• Who and the name of my petitioner
• My fiance' job
• When and how did we meet?
• How long did he visit me? How long did he stay?
• Have I travelled outside of PH before?
• Do I have kids? Does my fiance got kids?
• Was I married before? Was my fiance' married before?
• Which state i'll be staying?
• Does he live alone?
• Do i future travel plans in China?
> When he asked me about the travel ban in China, I asked him, "does that include layovers"? And he said " Yes, blah blah blah ... ". [I am well aware of the travel situation in China but I just asked coz I wanna build a lil bit of rapport just to make an impression that I am not nervous on pur conversation.

After that, he said, " Ok, your files are good and i will be endorsing your visa approval ........... ". I smiled big time and told him that he made my day and we said our goodbyes and he said " Have a great day"! And i responded, "Likewise".

Bottomline is, treat the interview as another government transaction. The said process is like a re-verification of all the information you put in at CEAC site. Make sure you answered without stuttering. I know this has been said million times already but would gonna say it again, " You got nothing to worry so long your relationship's genuine".
For those who are still on the process, this soon will be over ❤

Did you guys ever receive packet 3?
blank avatar Mslanie_bells on 2020-02-07 said:
No. Manila embassy usually accepts appointment with or without it. So long the case is ready, the visa fee has been paid, medical has been good and you already set the appointment and you got a confirmation, you're all set.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
