Embassy Review : Interview day

Had the interview at 8 am, left the embassy at 11 am.

They were interviewing people for diversity visa lottery and K visas this day. I noticed that outside and when we entered they were giving priority to diversity visa lottery applicants.

Everything went very well.

I had to wait quite a bit inside before and after they took all my fingerprints and told me to wait for my name to be called and be interviewed by the counselor.

I initially gave to the lady who took the fingerprints my passports (current one and the other one where I had the tourist still active visa which in case of K visa approval needed to be canceled), conversations printed between me and my fiancé, plane tickets of him traveling to Tirana, airbnb bookings in Tirana, engagement bill, letters of intent both mine and his and went back to the waiting room. Most of this documents including pictures printed in letter they already had since I posted them previously through dhl.

The moment the counselor called my name:
She made me swear that everything I was going to say during the interview would be the truth.
She asked when and how did I meet my fiancé, if I ever stayed abroad more than 6 months which I answered no, how many times did I meet him ( I started counting the times). She starts to write for a bit on the computer and tells me: Congratulations your visa was approved. She was friendly and smiley all the time. The interview was approximately 3-5 minutes.

P.S. I took a big album with me but they didn’t look at it at all so I wouldn’t suggest getting albums if you want to take pictures but only printed versions on letter.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
