Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 17, 2020
Embassy Review : Arrived 20 minutes before the scheduled time, and was told to line up to pass through the security line after they checked my documents (maybe 20 people in line in front of me). I was able to skip the massive line for non-immigrant visas and straight up the elevator, and then waited about 20 mins in front of the window before being called.

I was asked for the documents listed on the embassy website (no evidence of ongoing relationship requested), and my fingerprints were taken for both hands. I was then asked to sit and wait to be called by the officer, and waited for 20-30 mins. I was then called up to the window and asked to swear the information provided was correct. I was then asked about how we met, whether I had proposed, whether we had set a date for the wedding and whether I had booked my flights for the US. I gave them brief details on the questions and was asked for my fingerprints again.

My documents were returned to me and I was told I would be approved pending the embassy receiving the medical (which I later found out they had received it the day of the interview). I was issued the visa 4 business days later.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
