Event Description
Review Date : January 27, 2022
Embassy Review : Arrived for our 0800 appointment at 0740, they let us pass security but we could not check in until the desk opened at 0745. Got called back at about 0750 and left at 0812. Our IO was very friendly and helpful; she started by saying she had almost everything she needed already and this would be quick since we submitted quite a bit of evidence with the original petition. She asked to see just our drivers licenses and passports and any new information for the petition (she kept the new information to the side, only went thru it once to check for a new job offer letter we said was in it). She did not ask for any originals of any other documents. She asked us to verify our own names, addresses, birthplaces, current jobs, parents' names, and number of our marriages/children. Then she asked my husband (beneficiary) the 485 yes/no questions, then verified his answers and had him sign the form. Next asked us how we met, when we first met in person, where we plan to buy a house (we showed a mortgage pre-approval in the new information), and hobbies we do together (we said travel, she asked where our favorite travel spot has been). Checked our status 30 minutes later and case was updated to show card is being produced.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
