Comments : The RFE was for the copy of birth certificate, which we have submitted in our initial application. Took the SC office 8 months to schedule my biometrics and there was no update on my I485 until we moved to Utah on Oct 24. Within a week or two after we moved to Utah, I got an update that my interview was scheduled, and within less than a week after I had my interview, the status was changed to ‘Your card has been picked up by the USPS’. Great job SLC office!

Event Description
Review Date : January 8, 2020
Embassy Review : The interview went really well, the CO was really friendly. He only asked these questions :
1. Have you ever lived in any other country ? If you have, where ?
2. Have you or has your fiancè been married before ?
3. How did you guys meet ?
4. How many times did you meet in person ?
5. How did he propose ?
6. What are the your wedding plans ?
7. Did you read the pamphlet ? What is it about ?

Then he looked at the documents my fiancè submitted to USCIS and took a look at the proof of relationship and since I brought more recent ones, I asked him if he would like to see it and so he did, and he said 'this looks great. Congratulations ! Your visa has been approved. It may take 1 week until you can receive your passport.

One of the best days of my life. Thank you visajourney, you have been a great help

Omg! What a long journey you guys had! Congratulations!!! Makes me wonder and worry what’s going on in SLC, extremely slow office.

Hello, we actually just moved here from SC, about a month ago, and only a week after we moved here I received an update that they have scheduled my interview, so I think they’re doing great! Extremely fast office, unlike the one in SC

Thank you so much for your input! That is actually great! There’s still people waiting from last year that didn’t have an interview yet, therefore my comment! But extremely happy to hear your experience! Makes me a little bit optimistic!! Enjoy holidays! 💖

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
