Biometrics Taken : Yes

Comments : Very quick. I was with my (US citizen) husband. Because the CR1 visa is not an option on the "custom electronic booth" (I don't know how to call it), I had to fill out the little blue form, we all used to fill out before (it is the form to give away to the customs, where you declare: where you come from, how much money you are bringing with you, if you are bringing any food, etc. I had no questions whatsoever. The officer stamped my Visa and put the date of the day.

Consulate Review: France
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description

Embassy Review : Dear All,
I am going to repeat what has been posted in previous messages...

All went well.
The advantage of Covid (!) is that the US Embassy in Paris was practically empty and so it all went very fast (45minutes all together).

We had to wait outside the guard gate to be called (they call by interview time). I say "we", because they let my husband (US citizen) enter with me.
Then a first check for security (2 different booths that are outside) and then you enter the Embassy building.

There you wait to be called. We waited around 10minutes and then I got called to submit all the paperwork - basically that first step is to check that you have all the right document. That first person (a very nice and smily lady) brings your file to another booth where the Consular Officer will interview you (it is all in the same room - not very much privacy I must say).
Not copies were asked.
Itw confirmation email (the one that says where you will have your passport delivered afterwards), birth certificate, passport, pictures, DS260, Police certificate, mariage certificate, divorce certificate (the lungs radio was not asked, I will have to travel with it and maybe will have to show it at Port of Entry).
The lady took all that and explained to me difference things (like for example, my name on my passport is my maiden, since it was made before I got married and so I will have to ask to have both names on my greencard OR else I will have to have a marriage certificate with me at all time when travelling).

I got back to my seat next to my husband and waited another 5 minutes. The Officer called me.
Spent time to type on his computer (types super fast and smootly - I was mesmerized) while checking the documents and then ask me several questions (he was cool but doing his work, concentrated):
who is petionning to have me over in the US, how did we meet, when we got married, what do we do for a living, where are we going to live, do we have kids together?

And that was it.
They are not sending the big enveloppe anymore with the passport. He said my passport will be sent today (my intervew was early in the morning) or tomorrow.

we are thrilled after 18 months of paperwork, stress with the lawyer, translations, misspellings, and waiting waiting waiting...

I had no questions whatsoever. The officer dialed a number, said "I have one", the speaker was on, so we heard a man saying my full name (I was quite amazed, I guess I was the only CR1 of the afternoon*), he stamped my Visa and put the date of the day.
He was very nice and smily.
(*The airport was totally empty because of Covid19)

Nov 6th, 2019 : Request for additional documents. They actually request a document that we have already sent to them. We don't really understand and will send them again... Delaying everything a bit more :(

Thank you Beyonce and JZ (didn't know I would get the chance to thank you 2 beautiful artists ;-)) love it!) Thank you Hilde. It feels unreel and at the same time totally normal. Lots of stress before (no sleep at all last night) but once you get in the embassy, I was focussed and all went well. After everything we go through with USCIS and CEAC, nothing bad can really happen at the Embassy stage, unless you forget a document. Take care and much love to you Guys!

Pls do you have issues concerning your name after making payment for the green card I-551? Mine is showing NMN among my full name.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
