Received a 221(g) blue slip for failing to bring my birth certificate (I know how could I, but I did) got approval 5 working days after receipt of the document. Sent the document on the same day of interview (I live close to London.) Received by the embassy by 9am the following day. |

I got called in alone. Officer was friendly. I was asked basic questions from the I-485 such as name, address, marriage date, the yes-or-no security questions and how and when did my spouse and I meet. I wasn't sure exactly how it ended but the officer did say it looks good and my application has been recommended for approval. I also wasn't given any white paper. My spouse said the interview time took about 10 mins. However, I didn't get a status change (online) until a week later. The wait was concerning, but I'm thankful that all went well. Overall, I'm glad that my field office isn't too intimidating. Makes a difference with ones nerves. |
