Hello. What was your RFE for if you don't mind me asking?

Two issues,
1) a photo that was submitted was reported as being out of focus. RFE requested two new photos taken within 30 days of the RFE date.
2) a dismissed court case from 10 years ago showed in the background check. Because of the age of this case the court paperwork had been destroyed and was not available. A printout of the court docket was provided but was apparently not enough. They also wanted a statement from the agency involved in the case.

Were they the passport style photographs?
How old was the court case? Do you mind me asking what the court case was about? Thank you!

Yes, they wanted updated/different passport photos for each of us. 10 years ago I was arrested and charged for malicious mischief. Taken to jail, fingerprinted, booked. A judge completely dismissed the charges. No plea bargain, no probation, no postponed sentencing, etc. I expected this to show in the background check, reported it and provided the docket from the court. However, in the end, because most of the paperwork had been destroyed I needed all information available from the court and from the arresting law enforcement agency but also a statement from them saying this information is all that was available.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
