Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 24, 2018
Embassy Review : Straight forward process, helpful and pleasant communication. 7/10

Make sure you print your interview appointment confirmation. For some reason I was not on their list at the door, they initially wouldn't even accept my printed confirmation, can imagine that without it would've been even more difficult to convince them. They ended up calling someone inside and let me in.

Appointment scheduled at 12:00, arrived at 11:45. Actual interview at 1:30, out by 1:40pm.

Documents requested:
- Passport
- Appointment confirmation
- DS160 confirmation
- NOA2
- 2 passport-style pictures
- I-134 and 2017 tax transcripts
- Birth certificate + copy
- VOG + copy
- Copy of biographic page USC

Questions asked:
- Have you lived anywhere outside the Netherlands for longer than 6 months?
- Where did you go to school in the US?
- Have you been in any previous relationships? Did you live together with any of those people?
- How did you meet your fiancé, what/when was the "spark"?
- When did you start dating?
- What do you have in common?
- How long have you lived together?
- When did he move back to the US?
- What does he do for a living? Where? How much does he make?
- What's his mother's name?
- Does he have any siblings?
- Has he been married before?
- Is he younger or older than you?
- You're going to be spending your life together, have you discussed family planning?

Was not asked to show pictures, FaceTime or text message logs.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
