Embassy Review : My appointment time was 8:30am. I got there at 7:55am and the guard made me wait outside until 8am before allowing me inside. I was given #14 and opted not to put things in order that it says on the sheet they give you. lol I had things in a binder in clear sheets all labelled so I knew I could find things quickly. I got called to the document windows at about 9am and gave everything over they asked for. They did only ask me for his last years irs transcript but did say if I had any other supporting evidence they would take it. So I gave her w2's, paystubs, and employer letter. Did my electronic prints and sat down to wait again about 9:10am. Got called up to the Interview window at about 9:20am. I had a very nice lady who totally made it a conversation but the questions she asked were. What do you call him Christopher or Chris? Where did you guys meet? What is Second Life?( you see we met in the virtual world of Second Life lol and she was wondering what it was. When I told her she said that sounds fun. LOL) Tell me about Chris? When did you first meet in person? Did he meet your family? (She was very happy to hear he met my 95 year old Grandfather) What does he do for work? Then she looked at me and said I can tell you are very in love with him and because pink is the colour of love you are approved Welcome to the United States and handed me the pink paper that says just that. Ha best PINK SLIP EVER!!!!

All in all it was definitely the best part of this process minus the waiting. LOL

I met one VJer there Ariel and we had a great time chatting. She was number 17. It helped pass the time and made us both less anxious for sure.

Embassy Review : What a great experience this interview was. My husband was so nervous but I told him he had nothing to worry about. Our appointment was at 1:15pm at the Denver field office. We went in about 12:45 and went through security with no issues. Took the elevator to the second floor and showed our appointment letter to the check in desk. I was given my letter back with Officer Pfleger's name at the top and the letter C as he would call us from that door. We Got called in at 1:20pm and a very friendly Officer Pfleger greeted us. He made great smalltalk and made us immediately comfortable. Started out by swearing us in and then looked at all our id. Asked me my full name, date of birth, my parents names and then asked my husband the same. Then he asked me some of the questions from the application. He then asked us:

- How we met? Second Life a virtual world
- What date was that we first started talking? October 2012 we became friends
- When did we meet in person? December 4th 2016
- When did he Propose? January 28th 2017
- When did I come into the US? October 28th 2017
- When were we married? December 1st 2017
- Have I met his parents? No but I talk to my Mother-in-Law on the phone once a week and she loves me. Also said we were heading to visit them in the spring.
- Has he met my parents? I said yes he came to visit me February 2017 and met my Mum, sisters, brother and my 95 year old grandfather who loved him.
We talked about football and how his family owns land in Canada. lol He asked me if I had any evidence to show him. I handed him the car title with both our names, our joint bank account statement, a utility statement, my health and life insurance showing him as beneficiary, our car insurance with both names, and my collage of pictures I printed on photo paper at Walmart. He asked if he could keep the photos and I said absolutely because I printed two out one for my desk at work. He grinned and said thanks and asked where I was working. Then he flipped through all my papers including my k-1 papers so I knew they got them. He said well your papers are very much in order and so I want to tell you to look for mail sometime in the next thirty days. WOOHOO so happy.
BTW we were out in 20 minutes. :o

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
